Thalayar Maha Deva Temple

Adjacent to the Vanchimoottil Devi temple is the Maha Deva Temple, the presiding deity of which is Lord 'Shiva'. It is believed that this temple is more ancient than the Devi temple. It is customary that people first go to this temple and then to the Devi Temple.

The original temple was ruined on the passage of time and the temple in its present form was constructed 20 Yrs back. The Temple is owned by the Thalayar Devi Vilasam N.S.S Karayogam along with the Vanchimoottil Devi Temple.

"Mahasivarathri" is celebrated every year with Pomp and Glory.
